Every OUIGO ticket includes one hand luggage item and one cabin bag. If you'd like an extra (or oversized) bag, it will cost you €5 online and €20 at the station. At OUIGO, we know that heading off for a weekend can quickly turn into an adventure! So, to help you travel with peace of mind, two bags are included in every OUIGO ticket, at no extra charge:
These bags are stored under your seat. The spaces at the start of each carriage are reserved for travellers who have taken an extra (or oversized) baggage option.
Need to take more? The extra or oversized bag, up to 90 × 130 × 50 cm and 30 kg, costs €5 online. Enough room for around 25 pairs of shoes, 30 pairs of jeans, 100 cannelés from Bordeaux or 22 kouign-amanns from Quimper! It's also included in the OUIGO Plus and OUIGO Full packs. Remember to add it when you book, or pop back later to your booking area to add it in one click up to departure !
On a connecting journey, the extra or oversized baggage option must be added and paid for separately for each train on the route, on top of the train ticket. You'll find the details on the connecting journeys page.
If you don't book your baggage option online before departure, it will be charged at €20 at the station!
For the great adventurers among you, some bags follow special rules but are still easy to take along.

On board, where you store things depends on your options. “Cabin” bags and hand luggage go under your seat. Large bags, pushchairs and bikes, meanwhile, are stored at the start and end of the carriage, in the dedicated areas.
A useful habit before you leave: label all your bags with your name. It speeds up checks and will let us contact you if you leave something behind.
Which bags are included in a OUIGO ticket?
One hand luggage item (40 × 30 × 15 cm) and one “cabin” bag (55 × 35 × 25 cm) are included free of charge in all tickets.
How much does an extra bag cost?
€5 online, and it's included in the OUIGO Plus and OUIGO Full packs.
Which bags are allowed and prohibited on board?
Most bags are accepted under the rules above. Some are refused (recumbent bikes, tricycles, tandems, cargo bikes, trailers). If in doubt, head to the help section of the app or the Ouigo.com website to find out all about the bags that are allowed and prohibited on OUIGO trains.
How do I add a bag to my booking?
You can add it directly when you buy your ticket on the OUIGO website or app, or after you've booked (post-booking) up to a few minutes before departure, by going to the “My bookings” section on OUIGO.com or in the app.
