WHAT IS THE "VERANO JOVEN" PROGRAM OF THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY ABOUT?
 

Aid for young people between 18 and 30 years old

The discounts will be aimed at all young people born between January 1, 1995, and December 31, 2007, both inclusive. Young people can be of any nationality, with the indispensable requirement that they have legal residence in Spain. Foreigners with legal residence in Spain must have a NIE, as well as a support number from the Registry of European Union Citizens or a Foreigner Identity Card (TIE). To enjoy the discount, those who meet the conditions must register on the following website of the Ministry of Transport and Mobility.

50% discount

A 50% discount is offered on the base price of the ticket with a maximum of €30 per ticket. Cancellation or change fees, issuance fees, taxes, baggage, or any other ancillary aspect of transport cannot be part of the discounted ticket price. The discount will be applied to the price of one-way or round-trip tickets for travel between July 1 and September 30, 2025.

 


WHAT DOES THE OUIGO PROPROMO CONSIST OF?

Additional 10% Discount
If you meet the conditions of the "Verano Joven" program, OUIGO will automatically apply a 10% discount to the base price of your ticket, with a maximum of €30 per ticket, before applying any other discounts. 

Conditions for Participation in the Fever Coupon Giveaway

Holders of a Verano Joven card who have purchased a ticket with the Verano Joven discount can enter a raffle for 100 Fever discount coupons worth €100 each, to be used for purchasing Musical Experiences on Fever.

The raffle will be announced via OUIGO’s official channels on July 4, 2025, where access will be provided to the registration page OUIGO will enable for the raffle: https://cloud.news.ouigo.com/sorteo-experiencias-musicales. Once on the page, users must fill in the required information and accept the raffle’s legal terms before submitting their entry. After the Verano Joven travel period ends (i.e., October 1, 2025), OUIGO will conduct the raffle for the 100 Fever discount coupons before a notary and will contact the winners. A maximum of one coupon will be awarded per winner.

  • Coupon details:
    • 100 coupons worth €100 each, to be used for purchasing Musical Experiences on Fever, valid until September 30, 2026, within the area managed by Fever Spain.

Extra 50% discount for autumn trips

By booking a OUIGO ticket with the “Verano Joven” discount from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, you will be eligible for a 50% discount voucher for future purchases, under the following conditions:

  • For each journey that used the “Verano Joven” discount, a 50% discount voucher will be issued to travel between October 1 and December 4, 2025, both dates inclusive, to any OUIGO destination. Only one voucher will be issued per journey, regardless of the number of passengers in the booking. That means, even if several travelers are included in the same booking, only one voucher will be issued for the outbound journey, and, if applicable, one for the return journey. These vouchers will be linked to the purchaser’s email address.
  • To receive the voucher, you must have purchased a ticket using your Verano Joven registration code to travel between July 1 and September 30, 2025, fulfilling all the conditions of the “Verano Joven” program set by the MTMS, and the discount must have been correctly applied.
  • You do not need to have a customer account to benefit from this promotion. If you don’t have one, you can access your voucher in the “My Bookings” section of the OUIGO website by entering the booking reference and the email address linked to the qualifying booking. If you do have a customer account, your voucher will be available in the “My Vouchers” section, inside “My Bookings,” on the OUIGO website or app.
  • To apply the discount, simply enter the voucher number when completing the booking process for a reservation that meets the conditions of the Extra Verano Joven Promo.
  • Voucher details:
    • Promotion period: Tickets can be purchased with this promotion from the moment the discount voucher is received until December 4, 2025.
    • Travel period: The discount is valid for travel between October 1 and December 4, 2025, both dates inclusive, excluding Fridays, Sundays, and October 13, 2025, for any OUIGO route.
    • The 50% discount applies only to the base fare of “ESENCIAL” tickets, not including additional packages or extras, and is valid for one-way trips only.
    • Each 50% discount code is valid for one traveler and one one-way journey.
    • The 50% discount code is for single use. Each user’s code is personal and non-transferable.
    • To apply the discount, you must purchase your ticket using the same email address as the one linked to the booking that generated the voucher.
    • The first and last name on the ticket purchased with the promotion must match the details of the Verano Joven holder and purchaser of the original qualifying booking. If the traveler's name is changed, they may be considered to be traveling irregularly.
    • The promotion is subject to seat availability.
    • Only valid for purchases made through the OUIGO website and app.
    • Cannot be combined with other OUIGO promotional discounts.
    • Cannot be applied retroactively to modify tickets already purchased.
       

HOW TO USE YOUR MITS "VERANO JOVEN" 2025 PROGRAM DISCOUNTS WITH OUIGO?

1. Register
  You must register at least 24 hours before making your first purchase on the dedicated Ministry website. Note that the 2023 and 2024 codes are not valid; you will need to register again and request the issuance of a new code for this year.

2. Search
  Click on the "Travelers" field in our search engine (on our App or website) and indicate that you have a "Discount Card".

3. Add your youth discount
  Click on "Add youth discount".

4. Enter your Ministry registration code
  A new window will open where you must enter the code previously obtained on the Ministry's website.

5. Add your card
  Add your card and click "Search" to see all travel options and choose the one that best suits you.

6. Choose your trip
  The prices displayed already include automatically the discount from the "Verano Joven" program and the 10% discount from OUIGO.

 

 


BE AWARE THAT...

- Let us know if you are not going to travel.
 If you have purchased a "Verano Joven" discounted ticket and do not plan to travel, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance using the following form. Failure to notify us within this timeframe and subsequently not traveling will be considered misuse of the "Verano Joven" discounted ticket. This notification does not imply ticket cancellation or entitle you to a refund, without prejudice to any rights you may have under OUIGO's General Terms and Conditions, which you can exercise through regular channels.

- Personal and non-transferable code
 The registration code is personal and non-transferable. Using a discounted ticket by a person other than the registered beneficiary will be considered misuse. Due to the nature of this discount, changing the traveler's name on a discounted ticket will also be considered misuse.

-Identification
 As required by regulations, OUIGO will verify, upon train access, that the "Verano Joven" discounted ticket corresponds to the beneficiary. For this purpose, you must present your original ID card (**DNI**) or, if applicable, NIE. Copies, photocopies, screenshots of ID cards or NIEs, or any other document such as a driver's license or passport will not be accepted as proof. If the original ID card or NIE is not presented, or if OUIGO verifies that the traveler is different from the discount beneficiary, the crew may deny access to the train without the traveler being entitled to any refund. 

-Notification of misuse
 If you misuse "Verano Joven" discounted tickets more than six times, whether by rail or road transport, the Ministry may withdraw your Registration Code, preventing you from registering again. Furthermore, please note that OUIGO is required to daily report to the Ministry the registration data of travelers who have misused discounted tickets. According to applicable regulations, misuse of discounted tickets may result in a fine of up to €750 according to Article 109.1(c) of the LSF.

-Responsibility
 OUIGO is not responsible for incidents and failures that may affect the Ministry's registration process and may prevent the discount from being applied during the purchase process.
