Voyager en train

You may have come across the terms “OUIGO High Speed” and “OUIGO Train Classique” without really knowing what sets them apart. They're two complementary offers, each with its own strengths. Understanding the differences means choosing the train best suited to your journey — and saving a tidy sum. Let's go!

Two trains, two ways to travel

OUIGO High Speed is the low-price TGV: fast, direct, ideal for linking major cities in the shortest possible time. OUIGO Train Classique is the offer with the lowest starting price, running on conventional lines and also serving medium-sized towns and cities.

Depending on your destination, your budget and the time you have, one or the other will suit you better. Here are the details.

OUIGO Train Classique

OUIGO Train Classique is the offer with the lowest starting price, running on traditional railway lines aboard fully renovated Corail trains. A real alternative for travelling on a budget while taking your time.

  • A relaxed pace: trains running at speeds of up to 160 km/h, perfect for enjoying the scenery.
  • Local connections: a clever route that favours the charm of medium-sized towns and cities on historic routes, often from city centre to city centre.
  • A mini fare: an ultra-competitive starting price from €10 per journey, and up to €59 max, even at the last minute, to protect your budget.
  • Your luggage on board: your ticket includes one cabin bag and one handbag free of charge. For larger luggage, you can add the extra baggage option for €5.
  • Services: Wi-Fi isn't available on board by default.
  • Sales closer to departure: tickets go on sale up to 60 days before departure in France (and up to 9 months in advance for the specific Paris–Brussels line).

Des trains en plein renouvellement

OUIGO is modernising its trains to make your journeys ever more pleasant, with more comfort and new equipment, such as power sockets at every seat and, on some trains, OUIFUN services. Some equipment is therefore not yet available on 100% of trains: be sure to check the services offered when you book.
