  • The Córdoba station is very close to the historic centre, a significant advantage that allows you to visit some of the main tourist attractions of the city, such as the impressive Mosque-Cathedral and the beautiful Jewish quarter, made up of narrow cobbled streets and charming squares with water fountains, flanked by houses with patios and balconies filled with flowers. On the way to the Jewish quarter from the station, you can have breakfast or a drink on one of the terraces in the Plaza de las Tendillas, a meeting place for locals and visitors alike.

  • The Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba has been officially consecrated as a cathedral since 1239. Built in three stages, the Caliphate, the Renaissance and the Baroque, the current Baroque bell tower hides and preserves the first minaret that existed in the West, built by Abderramán III. One of the curiosities of the Mosque is that its Mihrab, the niche that indicates the qibla or direction of the Kaaba in Mecca, is not oriented to the southeast as it should be but to the south. There are various theories about this, such as that it follows the layout of the ancient Roman cardo.
