Do you have a MAX LOISIR subscription and wonder whether it's valid on OUIGO? We'll clear it up straight away! Discount cards are not usually valid on OUIGO trains, but since 2023, travellers with a MAX Jeune or MAX Senior subscription can also enjoy discounts on our trains! Here's what to remember.
The MAX LOISIR subscription is a monthly subscription, taken out directly on SNCF platforms, or through SNCF-approved travel agencies. For €79 a month, it offers a guaranteed 30% discount all year round (excluding OUIGO) and €0 tickets in 2nd class on a selection of trains.

Every day, tickets go on sale at €0 for MAX Jeune customers. For MAX Senior customers, €0 tickets are only available from Monday to Friday. By going to your MAX area, you can access OUIGO trains and take advantage of these €0 tickets.
Please note, however, that a €0 ticket doesn't mean you're exempt from booking. You must book a train ticket before every journey. You will also need to confirm 24h before departure that you still intend to travel, so that seats aren't blocked unnecessarily.
Good to know: You can cancel your ticket up to 30 minutes before the train departs. And on board OUIGO trains, with your MAX ticket, you're entitled to the oversized baggage option free of charge! However, pets and bikes, even folded and in a cover, are not allowed with these tickets.
Does the 30% discount apply on OUIGO?
No. On OUIGO, only the €0 booking applies. The 30% discount (Max Avantage) applies to other trains with compulsory reservation.
How much do MAX Jeune and MAX Senior cost?
€79 a month for each of the two formulas, with the option to cancel from three months after subscribing.
General Sales Conditions:
Purchase of the monthly subscription and tickets is made via the MAX area. Tickets are available every day for MAX JEUNE and from Monday to Friday for MAX SENIOR. Travellers are required to confirm their booking 48h before the train departs. If the journey is not confirmed by 5pm the day before departure, the ticket is automatically cancelled. Tickets cannot be purchased on OUIGO.COM. MAX JEUNE or MAX SENIOR customers are entitled to a maximum of 6 simultaneous bookings, outside peak periods, within the limit of the quota of seats allocated to subscribers on these eligible trains, at a rate of a maximum of one journey per day departing from the same city (including in the case of a connection), in the same time slot.
No access to OUIGO post-booking, cancellation possible up to 30 min before departure, ticket cannot be exchanged but can be cancelled in the MAX area. MAX JEUNE and MAX SENIOR customers are entitled to one oversized bag included. They can take out the OUIFI/OUIFUN offer on board the train, via the OUIGO portal or on request from the train manager. Please note, pets and bikes (even folded and in a cover) are prohibited for MAX holders on OUIGO. In the event of disruption, the MAX holder must go to their MAX area to cancel their booking, then book a new journey on another eligible train.
